Mission Statement

Privacy is in our DNA and at the core of our products. 4Fimo® is a project built on a simple concept, to send, fetch, search, explore, and share files between your desktop computer and any web-enabled device (e.g., phones, tablets, and other computers) without the need to use any third-party cloud services or physical cables. Files are not replicated anywhere else outside of your devices.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, including how to manage and access the information we have about you, and how to delete your Account. We built 4Fimo® with strong privacy and security principles, like encrypting and anonymizing the information we collect from you (such as your email address, meta data, and other personal information), which means we and third parties cannot read or listen to them.
For our app to work, we collect some information to operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our products and services, including when you install, access, or use our app. The types of information we collect are listed below. However, any information we collect is for the listed uses and will never be sold to any third party.

Files Maximum Size

4Fimo® allows members to send and share up to 50 files with a maximum size of 2 GiB per send. Fetch via (Explorer, Search, My List) allows access to files with a maximum size of 2 GiB.

Information You Provide:

You only provide a valid email address to create a 4Fimo® account.

Your Files.

We do not retain your files in the ordinary course of providing our Services to you. Once your files are delivered, they are deleted from our servers. If a file cannot be delivered immediately for any reason, the information will be deleted immediately and you will have to try again.
We store information (such as name, location, and size of communicated files, and search keywords) until it is no longer necessary to provide our services, or until your account is deleted, whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things like the nature of the information, why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs.
If you contact us for Customer Support , you may provide us with information related to your use of our Services, including email address, copies of your messages, and how to contact you so we can fullfil your request. For example, you may send us an email with information relating to our app performance or other issues. We may also retain your contact information so we may contact you to fulfill your request.

Payment

4Fimo® uses Amazon Pay, as our third-party payment provider. We only collect information about your user subscription plan, not your payment. Automatically Collected Information:

Usage and Log Information. We collect information about your activity on our Services, like service-related, diagnostic, and performance information. This includes information about your activity (including how you use our Services "size of files shared", your Services settings, how you interact with others using our Services including blocked users, and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities and interactions), log files, and diagnostic, crash, website, and performance logs and reports. This also includes information about when you registered to use our Services, frequency of usage, and when you last used our Services.

Device and Connection Information.

We collect device and connection-specific information when you install, access, or use our Services. This includes information like status of the PC application, hardware model, operating system information, signal strength, app version, and mobile network, connection information, device operations information, and identifiers like device identifiers (ex. MAC address). Please note that we do not collect your location or other similar information. However, your service provider or the App Store via which you downloaded the software/ app may collect such information. Please check your system provider for such information.

Cookies.

We use cookies to operate and provide our Services, including to provide our Services that are web-based, improve your experiences, understand how our Services are being used, and customize our Services. For example, we use cookies to provide 4Fimo® for web and desktop and other web-based services. We may also use cookies to understand which of our FAQs are most popular and to show you relevant content related to our Services. Use of Information:

We use the information we have (subject to choices you make) to operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services. Here's how:

For purposes of providing our Services.

We use the information we have to operate and provide our Services, including providing customer support, and improving, fixing, and customizing our Services. We understand how people use our Services and analyze and use the information we have to evaluate and improve our Services, research, develop, and test new services and features, and conduct troubleshooting activities. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

Safety And Security.

We verify accounts and activity, and promote safety and security on and off our Services, such as by investigating suspicious activity or violations of our Terms., and to ensure our Services are being used legally.

No Third-Party Banner Ads.

We do not allow third-party banner ads on 4Fimo®. We have no intention to introduce them, but if we ever do, we will update this policy and inform our Users.
No sale of personal information. We do not sell any of your personal information and have not engaged in any such sales in the last 12 months.

Your Contacts and Others.

Users and businesses with whom you communicate may store or reshare your information (including your messages) with others on and off our Services. You can use your Services settings and the block feature in our Services to manage the users of our Services with whom you communicate and certain information you share.

Third-Party Service Providers.

We work with third-party service providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services. When we share information with third-party service providers in this capacity, we require them to use your information on our behalf in accordance with our instructions and terms.

Managing and Deleting your 4Fimo® Account:

If you would like to manage, change, limit, or delete your information, we allow you to do that through the following tools:

Changing Your Account Information.

You may change your password at any time. However, you must do via 4fimo.com.

Deleting Your 4Fimo® Account.

You may delete your 4Fimo® account at any time (including if you want to revoke your consent to our use of your information) using our in-app delete my account feature. When you delete your 4Fimo® account, your undelivered messages are deleted from our servers as well as any of your other information including your subscription. You cannot reinstate your Account at 4Fimo®. If you want to use our Services again, you will have to create a new Account and pay subscription fees as may be applicable. Please remember that when you delete your account, it does not affect the information other users may have relating to you, such as their copies of the files you sent them. However, your account name and communication history will be deleted from the other user's history.

Legal Standards and Regulations:

We collect, use, preserve, and share your information if we have a good-faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to:

(a) respond pursuant to applicable law or regulations, to legal process, or to government requests;
(b) enforce our Terms and any other applicable terms and policies, including for investigations of potential violations;
(c) detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or
(d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, including to prevent death or imminent bodily harm.

We collect, use, and share the information we have as described above:

consistent with your consent, which you can revoke at any time;
as necessary to comply with our legal obligations;

Over the next 12 months, we will collect the following personal information detailed in this policy, including your name (if provided), your email address, operating system, and User home directory, and other unique 4Fimo® identifiers from your device. We will also collect any optional personal information you choose to provide to us as part of your account.
In your use of the services, we collect commercial information around what you buy from us, to meet our legal, financial, and customer service obligations. If you interact with the 4Fimo® site, we collect information about the interaction with the site to improve your experience. If you contact our customer service team, we may also collect contact and account information that you provide us, such as your phone number or email address, to ensure we can communicate with you and complete your given request.
